Please Help Parkview Services Provide Affordable Housing and Friendship For People with Developmental Disabilities - Thank you!

Who benefits from your support? More than 150 adults in King County with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental challenges who have a decent, affordable home, a choice of communities and support services, and a range of social activities--thanks to Parkview Services and people who support our work.

Founded in Seattle in 1967, Parkview Services relies on generous donations from individuals, businesses and foundations—in addition to grants from agencies—to give our clients as much control over their lives as possible.

Parkview Services’ Fundraising Needs for 2008 (This is a Partial List!)

  • Unrestricted Gifts—wherever the need is greatest— such as emergency house repairs, such as emergency house repairs, ferry tickets to attend Camp Parkview, helmets for horseback riding, and more.
  • Parkview Mobile Repair Unit—Parkview needs a secure van with equipment, tools and supplies to keep our 50 houses in excellent condition. This Mobile Repair Unit will save time and money in making repairs and reduce trips to the hardware store.
  • Camp Parkview—Help sponsor a thrilling week at Camp Parkview for one or more people with developmental disabilities, where canoeing, horseback riding, and summer friendships abound. Our goal: At least 40 scholarships at $250 per camper for 2008.
  • Parkview Group Home—Help us restore the wonderful early 1900’s Craftsman style house on Capitol Hill house that is home to six young adults with developmental disabilities. We’re making great strides in bringing the house up to Parkview’s standards, but still have a lot of work left, including a new roof.
