HomeOwnership Program
Parkview Services Home Ownership Program began in 2006 providing education and Down Payment Assistance to individuals covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and their families who live with them so that they are better able to afford and keep a home of their own. This included people and families with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities that Parkview Services has worked for since 1967.
In 2008 Parkview Services started seeing foreclosure issues and started filling the need. By 2009 the mortgage crisis was underway. Parkview Services started seeing, on a low level, the community they had helped gain sustainable housing come to them with foreclosure worries. By this time other housing organizations had heard that Parkview Services had assisted the early waive of foreclosure clients and began referring their foreclosure calls to Parkview Services.
